Blue Moon Intention Candles
300 grams Lemongrass and Sage candles available in Citrine, Amethyst or Rose Quartz. Each candle also comes with a Clear Quartz to magnify the intention you are working on.
These Blue Moon Intention Candles were brewed on the Midnight of the last Blue Moon during Halloween. Blue moons come only about every two or three years. In 2018 unusually, we had two blue moons in one year and only two months apart – and one was a lunar eclipse! The next time we will get two blue moons in a year will be 2037.
As a Hindu and a follower of Vedic astrology, I will go into some more depths about it here, A Blue Moon is a Full Moon that emits a very particular energetic resonance, as it is the second Full Moon to fall within one zodiacal sign, one (usually the third) of four Full Moons in a season, and it is the thirteenth Full Moon in a solar cycle.
The reason it is referred to as ‘Blue’ is that as this Moon has its origins in the Vedic system of astrology, it is intricately connected to Lord Krishna, the supreme Hindu God with blue skin often portrayed playing the flute.
The Vedic system is not quite the same as the Western tradition of astrology, so the signs that the Moons fall under are not always the same.
But the key to this whole riddle, technicalities aside, is the number 13.
This number is intrinsically linked to the energy of the Moon, as it symbolizes and holds within it the resonance of the Divine Feminine. So when we get to experience a thirteenth Full Moon, we are being exposed to a very specific lunar frequency, which can lift us up and activate these very particular tones within us.
In music (and this is what Krishna is here to show us), the thirteenth note is the beginning of a new octave, also containing the resonance of transcendence and ascension. So the thirteenth Full Moon creates an especially potent launch pad for raising both our personal vibration and the vibration of the planet.
So tapping into the frequency of a Blue Moon is an incredibly powerful practice!
Each candle has a memory so when burning the candle for the first time make sure you burn the wax on entire surface to prevent tunneling.
Trim wick to 1/4" each time before lighting.
Always place your candle on a fireproof surface or holder.
Never burn a candle completely and dispose of it when it burns to within 1/2" of its base or the holder.Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Each crystal around the candle can withstand heat but make sure it not obstructing the wick.
Please note that some frosting may occur on the candle because it's made from pure soy wax without any additives. It's a mark of pure Soy wax which has a cleaner and longer burn.
Our copper rings are not sealed so you can benefit from the healing properties of copper.
Bright copper has a shiny rose gold like color that will darken/patina naturally over time.
If you prefer shiny copper you can simply rub it with a professional jewellery polishing cloth (for silver and copper and can be bought from ebay ).
Gold plated and vermeil Jewellery :
If you would like to clean your gold vermeil jewellery wash it with a small amount of gentle non-chemical soap and warm water.
Rinse it well and allow to dry on a cloth or paper towel.
Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth and gently rub the surface in a circular motion to clean.
Make sure it is fully dry before returning to its box or airtight bag for storage.
Do not use a silver cloth as it will quickly remove the gold plating!
